Sales, Shipping & Collector Policy
Each Helix & Hewn sculpture is a one-of-a-kind work fabricated from reclaimed natural materials and individually finished by hand. Variations in grain, fissures, checking, oxidation, movement, and organic irregularities are inherent characteristics of reclaimed wood and are considered integral to the artistic process rather than defects. Artwork may continue to evolve over time in response to environmental conditions including humidity, temperature, and light exposure.
All purchases are subject to formal invoicing and transaction verification prior to shipment. Helix & Hewn reserves the right to refuse or cancel any transaction that appears fraudulent, unverifiable, or inconsistent with standard fine-art acquisition practices, and may require identity or payment verification for certain transactions. By completing purchase, collectors acknowledge receipt of all artwork descriptions, images, dimensions, and material disclosures prior to payment authorization.
For high-value and international sales, payment may be accepted exclusively via confirmed bank wire transfer. Title to artwork transfers upon cleared payment, and risk of loss transfers upon confirmed delivery by the carrier. Collectors must notify Helix & Hewn of any shipping-related damage within 48 hours of delivery.
All shipments are arranged exclusively through insured and trackable carriers selected by the studio. Helix & Hewn is not responsible for customs delays, inspections, import refusals, duties, taxes, or country-specific material restrictions beyond its reasonable control. Delays arising from weather, customs, carrier interruption, labor disputes, governmental actions, material shortages, or other force majeure events shall not constitute breach or liability.
Collectors assume responsibility for proper installation, mounting, handling, and environmental placement of artwork following delivery. Helix & Hewn shall not be liable for damage, injury, or loss arising from improper installation, handling, environmental exposure, or post-delivery movement of the work. In no event shall studio liability exceed the original purchase price of the artwork.
All intellectual property, photography, reproduction, and commercial image rights remain exclusively with Helix & Hewn unless expressly transferred in writing. Certificates of Authenticity may accompany select works and form part of the provenance record. Helix & Hewn makes no representations regarding future market value or investment performance of artwork.
Variations in perception, interpretation, and aesthetic response are inherent to original artwork and do not constitute misrepresentation.
Any dispute arising from the sale of artwork shall be governed by the laws of the State of California.
