A rectangular void interrupts the walnut near its upper edge. From within it, a single milky-white form passes through the opening and continues beyond the boundary of the wood. Escape treats the void not simply as absence, but as a point of passage. The work considers the moment when containment gives way to release: a form defined by its origin, but no longer confined by it.
